Musical Director/Conductor Search

Our current Musical Director, Duncan Frater, has given notice that this 2009-2010 season will be his last with the Cowichan Consort Orchestra and Choir. After nine seasons it is time for him to move on to other challenges.

He will take The Consort's best wishes with him.

The Board of Directors is seeking qualified persons who are interested in applying for the post of Musical Director/Conductor of the Orchestra and Choir. The Orchestra numbers 40-plus and the Choir 50-plus, made up of all ages.

If you would like to be considered for this position please respond with a resume to include three references from people with whom you have worked in a musical position.

Short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview by the selection committee.

Applicants should know that the Cowichan Consort Orchestra and Choir is a non-profit society. The Music Director is paid on a fee-for-service basis.
